8.3x11.8 in ~ Painting, Oil
The Artist has been visiting Northern Ireland for more than 30 years now and still marvels at the landscape there especially along the Antrim coast near Waterfoot. He has sought out the old 'clachan' villages on the hillsides around there and beyond up by Torr Head. This painting brings back memories of such visits and the hard lives that our ancestors had to endure to survive in such turbulent times. However, this painting depicts a cottage near Ballyliffin in Donegal which can be seen from the window of the 'Orange Hall' in the Famine village there. A set of limited edition prints, signed & stamped by the artist, is available; email the artist for full details.
