During a few days with Margaret and her family in the Black Valley in May 2016, the Artist started this oil painting of a scene which is near where the jarveys meet by the wonderful Gap of Dunloe just outside Killarney in Kerry. The Artist has had some memorable times in and around here over the last few years and last year he flnally took a jaunting-car ride up through the Gap and on to Lord Brandon's Cottage and finished off the day by going down through the lakes of Killarney by boat and then back to Kate's Cottage by one of the 'ould' buses. Its an artist's paradise with beautiful scenes everywhere and really friendly local people to compliment any visit and while away an hour or two having the chat.
