'Old Road in the Black Valley' is an oil on paper that the Artist started in May 2016 whilst on a break at Margaret's house in the Black Valley. The scene is from the far off end of the Black Valley on one's journey over the hills to the Bridia Valley. The quietness here and the sound of the bird-song, including the cuckoo, is wonderful. As one walks along this old road, all you have for company is nature, the sound of the streams and the sheep on the hills surrounding this beautiful unspoilt valley.
